Amy Cunha, President & Founder, San Francisco +-

Amy Cunha is an expert PR strategist for consumer lifestyle brands. Amy brings twenty years experience in public relations and branding to her PR clientele. She launched BigPicture PR in 2004.

Specializing in global and national public relations campaigns, Amy’s expertise comes from building and launching hundreds of brands in the consumer lifestyle sector: fashion, accessories, design, footwear, health/wellness, beauty and consumer tech. Amy delivers results in every facet of a campaign. She revels in the creativity of crafting inspired media campaigns and branding concepts that attract and engage the media, bloggers and consumers, in turn maximizing publicity, exposure and sales for her clients.

Client experience includes creating and executing public relations campaigns for emerging brands Anyi Lu International and Baggu, to established brands, such as  London’s high-street brands of the Arcadia Group (Wallis, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins) and Ted Baker to one of the world’s leading design strategy firms, Lunar Design.

Amy has launched integrated advertising and brand-marketing campaigns for Burson-Marsteller and Porter Novelli and luxury lifestyle campaigns while a director at a boutique PR agency. She has a unique background of developing high-level strategy and messaging while producing multi-million dollar, award winning media campaigns for democratic presidential candidates and numerous U.S. Senatorial races while at a prominent media strategy firm.

Amy has worked extensively with the media securing features, profiles and product placements with established contacts at top-tier publications such as Fast Company, The New York Times, Refinery 29, O, The Oprah Magazine, Allure, The Dr. Oz Show, Lucky, InStyle, Real Simple, GOOP, Vogue, Elle, WWD, Wall Street Journal, W, Travel + Leisure, Shape, Harper’s Bazaar, Nylon, Marie Claire, Self, Cosmopolitan, CNN, Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Rachael Ray Show, CBS Evening News, and NPR amongst many others.

Amy was educated at UC Berkeley, studying Comparative Politics.

Chelsea Sallee, Partner, Los Angeles +-

Chelsea Sallee has over 10 years of public relations and marketing experience and specializes in media relations, account strategy, branding, events, social media activation, digital communications, and company and product launches. She has extensive experience working in the consumer lifestyle field with brands including fashion, beauty, wellness, e-commerce and consumer technology.

Prior to joining Big Picture PR in winter 2012, Chelsea worked as a PR executive in Los Angeles, where she launched her public relations career in fashion, beauty, design and celebrity placements.

While at Big Picture PR she has secured extensive press in national print and online media including WWD, InStyle, the New York Times, Lucky magazine, Forbes, Refinery29, Allure, Redbook, Men’s Health, and more. She frequently manages press events in New York, takes clients on meetings with top tier media, overseas the planning and execution of large-scale blogger events, and acts as the PR representative for clients at celebrity engagement events.

In 2005 Chelsea earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications with a Minor in Textiles and Clothing Marketing from the University California, Davis. While attending college she founded a student run fashion and culture publication, The Looking Glass magazine, which had a distribution of 5,000 throughout Davis, Sacramento and Berkley. After college Chelsea took graduate coursework in New Media Communications at the University California, Los Angeles.

Outside of work, Chelsea is a proud dog mom, fierce online sale hunter, an avid Pilates and Spinning enthusiast, and authors a fashion and lifestyle blog (www.abitofsass.com).

Paula Alvarez, Events Director, San Francisco +-

Paula has over a decade of managing the reputations of clients and creating top-of-mind awareness for a broad range of national and international business-to-business companies in the fields of consumer lifestyle, technology, professional services and financial services. A skilled public relations practitioner with an in-depth knowledge of the media, Paula has a proven track record for garnering attention for her clients in the international, national, local, and vertical media outlets. A passionate entrepreneur and problem-solver Paula is always seeking new ideas and new approaches in providing creative, responsive client service.

Prior to her work with Big Picture PR, Paula worked as a PR consultant working with technology and professional service firms focusing on strategic planning and strategic business development. Her work has included thought-leadership and brand awareness programmes as well as launch activities, events, and customer relations.

Gina Papa, Senior Media Relations Specialist, New York City +-

Based in New York City, Gina brings many years of PR experience and her love for fashion and aesthetics to the table.  She began her career working in-house with the PR department at Tom Ford styling and coordinating looks for A-List celebrities and high profile discernible clientele.  Although her role was exciting and enriching, she desired a broader perspective on Public Relations and decided to work with outside firms which led her to represent brands from all industries.

From Ready-to-Wear fashion to Accessories and Technology, Gina covers them all providing expert advice and straight no-nonsense talk about the current position of brands and what is needed to take them to the next level.  This translates to editorial and branding exposure for companies ranging from established brands wanting to cater to a new demographic to up-and-coming brands looking for commercial success.  She continues to expand her knowledge and expertise of the industry by harnessing her powerful network, bringing her passion and entrepreneurial enthusiasm to offer her clients a unique PR experience.

Jordan Stanley, Account Executive, Los Angeles +-

Jordan Stanley joined Big Picture PR shortly after graduating from The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles with an Associate’s degree in Fashion Merchandise Marketing, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Jordan’s passion for public relations led her to various internships and jobs at both in-house and boutique PR firms in Los Angeles, where she held key roles in social media execution, new media content creation, and managing blogger and celebrity placement outreach. Jordan is excited for the opportunity to expand her experience of editorial and commercial public relations through creative branding solutions and collaborations, while building new media, blogger, and client relationships.

In her personal time, Jordan can be found brunching by the beach, frequenting spin and pilates classes and exploring beautiful SoCal through weekend trips.

Alana Cowan, Senior Media Relations Specialist, New York City +-

Based in New York City, Alana is a dynamic, results-oriented media relations professional with more than seven years of experience in the public relations industry with proven success in developing and implementing effective press strategies for globally-recognized clients in the consumer health, lifestyle, fashion, parenting, beauty and non-profit space.

Skilled in planning and executing long-term media goals for national consumer campaigns, Alana has provided strategic media counsel for numerous client initiatives, inclusive of national press announcements, special events, product launches and celebrity media activations.

Previously, Alana was a senior media specialist at Edelman Public Relations in New York City where she implemented effective media tactics for clients in the health and wellness space with a focus on national consumer media. While at Edelman, Alana spear-headed media relations efforts for the launch of the American Lung Association’s award-winning, national consumer initiative, LUNG FORCE.

Alana graduated from Fordham University’s school of Journalism at Lincoln Center with a major in public relations.
